Page 64. of your book; I highlighted this quote and wrote my own note: “We are constantly seduced by reductionist thinking, led astray by the fantasy of simplicity when the truth is complex.”
My note: “You have it opposite here: The Truth is simple, beliefs are complex.”
Hubris says: “I'm the Source of Truth, and so, 'The Truth' is complex.”
The Truth is Simple. A person who lives in Truth may have to deal with the complexity of this human life saturated in complex beliefs - but they themselves are steadfast, experiencing much less anxiety and uncertainty than most people.
